New Year means a New You

We are all guilty of it.  The New Year hits, and we all make resolutions.  Some are quite ambitious, while others may tend to be more realistic.  Whether you made a goal to give up something, or start something new, here are a few that us Westies think should be easy enough to follow…

1) Drink more water!  Easy enough, it helps hydrate the body and flushes out all those bad toxins!

2) Eat more Green!  Salads (not drenched in dressing), broccoli (not smothered in cheese), you get the point.

3) Get some rest!  It helps your body reset for the next day.  You’ll feel better if you get a good night’s sleep.

4) Take a walk!  Get out and take a walk.  You’ll see some sights and you’ll see some pounds drop off of that waist line!

5) Get rid of the junk in your life!  Whether it’s junk mail, junk in your home, junk in your pantry, junk in your trunk (haha – your actual car trunk).  Cut it out of your life, you’ll feel better.

6) Take some time for yourself!  Dedicate 30 minutes each day for some YOU time!  Whether it’s 30 minutes of exercise, 30 minutes of reading, 30 minutes of staring at a blank wall …. do it for YOU!

7) Take a trip to the Doctor!  Get a regular check up/ tune up.  Make sure you’re working on all cylinders.

8) Go Natural!  Cut out some of the toxins, whether it’s in the foods you eat, or the cleaning products you use in your home.

9) Go Volunteer!  Make a difference in your community.  Get out there and volunteer.  It will make you feel good to help others!

10) Take some credit!  Did you do something even a little awesome?  Take the credit for it.  You ARE appreciated by someone, somewhere.  Don’t be so hard on yourself.

See??  Easy enough??  We think so.  Embrace 2018 and Take a Chance!
