Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy (ST), or Speech Language Pathology, is the treatment of speech and/or language disorders. A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), commonly referred to as a Speech Therapist or Speech Clinician, specializes in the assessment, treatment, and prevention of communication disorders and may provide education, screening, consultation, assessment, treatment, intervention, management, counseling, and follow-up services.

West Rehab provides individualized speech therapy services for clients of all ages. Each client receives one-on-one speech and language therapy that is targeted to address his or her specific communication deficits, which may include disorders of articulation, language, voice, fluency, swallowing, and oral structure and function.

Individuals with the following problems or diagnoses may find ST beneficial:

  • Complications at birth with resulting feeding and swallowing issues
